This is the ultimate African scuba safari holiday, and this adrenaline-filled tour is the best way to discover these amazing countries, it's wildlife, and the best dive sites of South Africa and Mozambique.
Admire the most diverse and breathtaking landscapes in the world: from dry savannahs, to subtropical forests, and spectacular stretches of rugged coastline around Cape Town where we will climb South Africa's iconic Table Mountain.
Discover 2 totally different underwater worlds: the cool Atlantic Ocean with its mysterious kelp forests, shipwrecks, great white sharks and large numbers of whales. And the warm waters of the Indian Ocean in Mozambique, where we relax on tropical white beaches, snorkel with giant whale sharks and dive with giant mantas.
Take your bucket list to another level on this one-of-a-kind trip to one of the wildest spots on the planet.
We'll also visit 2 of the favorite dive sites by Jacques Cousteau: the famous Sodwana Bay and Aliwal Shoal, where you can dive with sharks without a cage, such as: tiger sharks, ragged tooth sharks, blacktip and whitetip sharks.
Experience the unbelievable rush of your first safari. Big chance that you'll be able to spot the Big Five as we visit 3 different parks. Highlights are: an exciting rhino walk in Swaziland, camping in the Kruger Park where you can hear the lions roar at night from your tent, and the Addo Elephant Park, where can get face-to-face with herds of elephants.
“ I found the trip very enjoyable. Reception at the airport was perfect on arrival. Immediately felt 'safe'. It's only a pity that we could not explore the Drakensberg. I truly enjoyed everything! Honestly! Thank you for showing me another side of South Africa. I swam with sharks, relaxed, and saw a lot. ”
“ We really enjoyed ourselves! The packing list is super handy! You were always there to answer questions. Favourite accommodation was in Swaziland! Amazing to hear the animal sounds at night! We would’ve loved to see more of the Panorama Route though. ”
“ Very nice and worth it. ”
“ I truly enjoyed this trip and wouldn’t want to have missed all the experiences. Some activities you could not do if you were diving that day, which is a pity. I would’ve preferred if the meals were a bit healthier, but I am glad that my feedback was dealt with during the trip. Besides these comments, it was perfect. ”
“ We were well taken care of. Always felt very safe, great that you were part of the group as the guides. 2 days per dive destination was perfect. The second day at Kruger went a little quick because we had to be in the next location in time, which was a pity. Frequent stopping during the journey to stretch our legs was nice. Good price / quality. One of the best vacations we’ve ever had! ”
“ The trip felt like we saw all the secret tips of a local South African. A great mix of locations and activities! Good variety of camping and staying at lodges, spending 3 - 2 days at each dive site is an excellent rhythm, but the weather must cooperate to get the most out of the dive trip. ”
Besides cage diving with the infamous great white shark, there are many plenty of other shark species that you can dive with, such as: tiger sharks, bull sharks, cow sharks, hammerheads, blacktips and sand tiger sharks.
Tofo is one of the best places to see whale sharks all year round. Snorkelling with these magnificent animals is an experience not to be missed.
The Cango Caves were up to 500 years ago inhabited for centuries by the San people. The impressive caves are a spectacular sight with vast halls and impressive rock formations.
Make the highest commercial bungee jump in the world from the Bloukrans Bridge. An adrenaline rush of 216 meters; an absolute must-do!
This park is known for its large herds of elephants and is the best place in South Africa to see elephants up close. There are also buffalo, rhinos, antelopes, lions and hyenas.
Go on a walking safari accompanied by a Swazi park ranger and feel a surge of adrenaline when you are literally face-to-face with rhinos.
In Hlane we can enjoy a traditional Swazi dance to the beat of African drums, if you want you can also dance along to this energetic dance and try to kick as high as the professionals.
With a bit of luck we will be able to spot the Big 5 in the Kruger Park. Our overland truck allows you to have a better vantage point, due to it's height and large windows.
The cozy harbour town of Hermanus is known as one of the best places in the world for land-based whale watching. This tour takes place in the high season when the whales swim through the bay to breed.
Sodwana Bay is one of the top 10 dive sites in the world, and was a favorite of Jacques Cousteau. The 50 km wide reef complex contains more than 1,200 species of fish, and many species of sharks, manta rays and turtles.
Wreck diving enthusiasts can enjoy themselves during this trip. Umkomaas and Cape Town has several beautiful wrecks, each with their own story.
From large whales and dolphins to the smaller macro-life, read on our blog what you can see under water.

If you dare, make a cage dive with giant Nile crocodiles at the Wildlife Ranch. These huge crocodiles swim straight towards you, staring you in the eyes as they stab the cage with their noses. This is truly a not-to-be -missed experience!
When you go to South Africa, you of course must do a cage dive with the notorious great white shark!
Climb Table Mountain, on foot or by cable car, and enjoy the fantastic views over the city and Atlantic Ocean. If you dare, you can abseil down.

The Tsitsikamma Rainforest is known as one of the most beautiful parks in South Africa. Here you can hike to a waterfall, go water tubing in a fast-flowing river or go on a canopy tour.
For the sun worshipers among us there will be enough time to relax on the beach; From the tropical beaches of Mozambique to the popular surfing beaches of Cape Town.

Would you like to go on this dive safari with your own diving club, friends or family? This is possible! As long as the group consists of at least 8 people. Please contact us for the possibilities.
It is possible to bring along 1 backpack, 1 bag for your dive equipment and 1 small carry-on daypack. During the tour there are a lot of opportunities to wash your clothes, so please don't bring too much. As a general rule, if you can not lift your own luggage, then you have too much.
For the nights that you sleep in a tent you should bring your own sleeping bag, pillow and air mattress / sleeping mat. The tents and other camping equipment will be provided by Ocean Legends.
In terms of diving equipment we recommend bringing along a 5 to 7mm wetsuit, and if you're going on the tour to Cape Town, also a hoodie + 3mm gloves.
Special safari clothes are not necessary at all to enjoy a game drive. However, it is not recommended to wear bright colors as it may scare the animals off.

Most nationalities don’t require a tourist visa for South Africa or Swaziland, and are allowed to remain for up to 90 days without a visa. For Mozambique we ask you to obtain a visa before departure, as obtaining a visa at the border itself will be a very timely process and this would cause major delays.
To check if you require a visa, visit CIBT Visas (Nordic nationalities can check visum.com). If you don’t have time to go to the relevant embassies, CIBT Visas can also assist you in obtaining your visas, they do charge a broker fee for this.
Otherwise you can contact your nearest embassy to apply for a tourist visa: www.embassy.goabroad.com/embassies-of/mozambique
Important: All necessary travel documents are your responsibility to be obtained before departure and to be in your possession during the tour. Please apply for the necessary visas at least 4 weeks before departure. You need a passport that is valid for at least 6 months after departure from Southern Africa, with a minimum of 3 empty visa pages.
If you have any questions, please contact us. We’re happy to help!
